YOU HELPED MAKE THESE
THINGS POSSIBLE.
Dear RTC Family,
The success of 2024 would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our friends and partners. God’s faithfulness, your contributions and encouragement have been the bedrock of this ministry’s accomplishments. We are deeply grateful for your belief in the mission of Remember the Children and commitment to see it through.
As we began the year 2024, I found myself at a crossroads. My doctor informed me that I was suffering from exhaustion, and I was put on mandatory rest. The year evolved into a journey of recovery and better health – not only for me but for my wife, who faced a second diagnosis of cancer. This sobering health news forced us both to slow down, reflect and recognize that even the most resolute of us are not limitless. What initially seemed like a year of setbacks became an opportunity for profound reflection, intentional living and celebration. At the end of this year, we officially launched Eternal Families Tanzania as an independent ministry! We also were able to start new initiatives, including Praxis – a training conference for ministry leaders hosted by Eastern European Bible College in Romania. We also helped start new church plants and the next phase of the Eternal Families agricultural mission.
As we stand on the threshold of 2025, we are filled with anticipation and excitement. With the end of RtC’s work in Tanzania, God has once again called us to return our focus to the growing need in Romania. And you, our ministry friends, are part of that call. Thank you for remembering the children and thank you for your support in so many ways!

IMPACT MOMENTS
New Leadership Conference: Praxis
By Gerri Baker
We embarked on our first training program in partnership with the Eastern European Bible College, which we named Praxis. This training was a beacon of knowledge and skill enhancement, bringing together eager leaders to build their leadership and abilities.
Last year in April, as part of the Remember the Children Ministry, I had the joy of helping facilitate and then teach at Praxis, a practical ministry conference in Oradea, Romania. This conference was very important to those that attended as it bridged the gap between theoretical theological knowledge and the real- world application of ministry. By equipping these individuals with the necessary skills and tools to effectively lead, care for, and serve people within a church community, they are better able to address diverse situations and challenges they might encounter in their ministry roles.
Close to 100 people attended and it was key to lifting up pastors, leaders in the church, and volunteers, across denominations, allowing them to find common ground and new friends in ministry. Several ways that we saw Praxis, strengthen ministry leaders include:
Developing practical skills: These courses provide hands-on training in essential ministry skills like preaching, teaching, counseling, leadership, technical arts, communications, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and, allowing individuals to practice these skills in a safe and guided environment.
Preparing for real-world challenges: By simulating real ministry scenarios, students learned to navigate complex situations, make informed decisions, and respond appropriately to the needs of individuals and communities.
Building confidence and competence: Gaining practical experience through training and empowering individuals to confidently step into ministry roles, knowing they have the necessary skills to serve effectively.
Adapting to diverse contexts: Practical ministry courses consider the various contexts in which ministry happens, providing training that can be applied in different denominations, church sizes, and community demographics.
In April 2025, seven Christian leaders will be traveling from the US to teach at the Praxis II Conference held at the Eastern European Bible College in Romania and RTC is again facilitating the coordination and travel of these key speakers. In an area where in-person Biblical training is scarce, we are excited to welcome over 100 pastoral staff from Europe!
Christmas Outreach Program
By Andy Baker
The ongoing crisis of children needing care prompted us to launch one of our most aggressive Christmas seasons yet. Our deep-rooted relationships in Romania allowed us to finish the year on a high note with the Christmas outreach program. Through this ministry, we were able to reach over to 5,000 children, offering them gifts and a visit – including one of the most valuable gestures of all – hugs to let them know they are loved by God, us and you!

A Story of Training and Sending
By Marius Ban, EEBC President
We are thrilled to share a wonderful testimony of how your support has made a lasting difference! Cristian*, a recent graduate of Eastern European Bible College (EEBC), has now returned to his home country and is actively planting a church. Despite facing significant opposition to any gospel-centered ministry, Cristian and a small team of four families have organized children’s programs and are holding regular church gatherings. RTC financed half of Cristian’s tuition and training.
His journey at EEBC was one of transformation and preparation for this very mission. During his time with us, Cristian was deeply involved in:
Ministering to Roma churches and children
Visiting elderly homes and orphanages
Organizing evangelistic events at the local university
Mentoring students exploring the Christian faith
His passion for ministry was evident, and we are honored to have played a role in equipping him for this incredible calling. Now he is able to take what he learned to one of the most hard to reach places in Europe.
*His name have been changed for privacy and protection.
Romanian children attending kid’s summer camp hosted by Agape
Agape Church Worship Service, Oradea, Romania
Agape Church Plant, Oradea, Romania
By Pastor Daniel Bagosi
This year marked the second year of Agape’s new church plant in Oradea. We are thankful to God first for entrusting us with this vision in this area, where there is no evangelical church in the new developing and growing neighborhood called Grigorescu.
Although we anticipated that it would be easier than the first year, we faced numerous challenges that tested our faith and resilience. Currently we are looking for a permanent place to house our church after our lease was canceled in March of 2025. Our hope is to purchase a lot in the area that will allow us to put together a metal-structured building that will belong to Agape and facilitate all of our meetings.
Despite the setbacks, God continued to draw new individuals to Agape. Over the months, we began to see new people showing interest in our vision and getting involved in activities. This influx of new members brought fresh energy and enthusiasm to the entire community.
We had an incredibly busy summer, highlighted by a short-term missionary team that organized a 4-day English camp. The camp accommodated programs for over 90 kids of different ages, providing a wonderful opportunity for outreach and engagement with the local community. We are blessed to report that we have five new converts who are ready to be baptized soon. This is a significant milestone for our church plant and a testament to the impact of our ministry.
We were also able to start several new group meetings this year:
On Saturday mornings, we now hold a men’s breakfast meeting where we study the book “The Call of Being a Courageous Man” by Dennis Rainey. Currently, 8-9 men attend each meeting. This group aims to inspire men to become courageous individuals, regardless of the challenges they face in life.
Led by Claudia, the ladies Bible study and prayer time meets twice a month and continues to be a source of spiritual growth and fellowship for the women in our church.
Youth meetings are held every two weeks on Friday nights before prayer time. These gatherings include pizza, icebreaker questions, and games, creating a fun and engaging environment for our younger members.
We look forward to the continued growth and development of Agape’s church plant in Oradea, trusting in God’s guidance and provision for the year ahead! As we move into the next year, our focus will remain on making disciples, fostering strong relationships in love, and expanding our outreach and ministry efforts.
Since May of 2024, we have emphasized prayer. We do have a regular prayer night meeting every Friday night, but one week per month we meet every night from Monday to Friday.
Last July and August, we did some outreach in the park near the church to sing, play guitar, and talk to people interested in hearing more about the Gospel and the excitement surrounding the new church plant.
We also have small discipleship groups. Claudia meets every Friday afternoon with two young ladies to teach them how to grow spiritually.
Some people in the church area have started to come regularly every Sunday and almost every Friday. Right now, we are 8 families with 2-4 children or young adults, plus 10 individuals (singles or divorced) involved in this ministry. Some individuals or families are not yet fully committed, but we continue to pray for them and offer an environment conducive to involvement, allowing them to serve according to their spiritual gifts.
Every week someone new comes to Agape. News about us and what is happening at Agape is spreading rapidly, and we are thankful for God’s continuous guidance and provision. God has put us in this neighborhood to be a light and a true hope for the community. We believe God is going to continue to bless our vision and our efforts.
We are so thankful to all the donors and supporters of RTC for their financial support as we build His church! May God bless you all!
Kids Summer Camp, Impact Church
Impact Church’s Remarkable Year
By Pastor Adi Galiger
2024 was a fantastic, blessed year for Impact Church in Oradea, Romania! We are so thankful to God for giving us hope and transforming the lives of so many people in our community.
This year we wanted to put special focus into providing summer events for kids and planned several kids and youth camps. We prayed these events would create an environment for any child to have fun, develop quality relationships, visit new and interesting parts of the country, worship together, learn from the Bible – and above all have an encounter with our Lord, Jesus. We welcomed new un-churched kids and kids from our own congregation – as well as orphans and adopted kids from the community. Over 100 kids attended the camps and almost 30 gave their lives to the Lord! By the end of the summer, many were also baptized!
Thank you to RTC for partnering with us to extend the love and grace of God in these new and powerful ways!
The New Dairy Barn to house 10 cows

Agricultural Strides in Tanzania
By Mark Yeazel
2024 will be looked back upon as a year of agricultural improvements for Eternal Families Tanzania (EFT) and Remember the Children has been part of that success!
One of the most significant additions in 2024 was a dairy barn to house ten milk cows. These cows will provide nutrition for the orphans in the Eternal Families Village and provide another resource to sell in the community.
The project began with the purchase of ten acres of land near Village 1. We surrounded the property with a fence to provide bio-security and security. The construction phase has completed two barns for cattle, a storage shed, a house for the herdsman, and a water tower. Eaton Community Church provided funds to drill a well over 750 feet deep. We also had to bring electricity to the property from a kilometer away. We have hired Zephania as herdsman and he is continuing to help prepare the property for the arrival of cows. With God’s help, we hope to have an operating dairy barn this spring. We say a huge thank you to all the donors who have contributed to this project!
The crop farm is continuing to move forward by identifying challenges and addressing those needs. A soil test was conducted on all of our crop acres. These tests show that our soil is very poor – low in fertility and lacking organic material. This is very typical for most of Tanzania. We have been working with Tumbi Agricultural Research College on remediation steps. They recommended increasing levels of both organic and inorganic fertilizers.
We invested much time and money this past year in clearing roots and anthills from about 60 acres of our land. This has allowed us to use the new 4-row corn planter for about 40 acres of corn and 20 acres of sunflowers. This will save us many hours of hand planting and time - allowing us to plant nearer to our target planting dates.
A small house was built for farm workers on the crop farm. This kindness has greatly increased the morale of our ten farm workers and the productivity of the farm staff. Our farm manager, Andrew, is to be commended for his leadership and commitment to excellence.
We have 43 acres of corn, 44 acres of sunflower, 25 acres of peanuts, 5 acres of rice, 5 acres of sweet potatoes, and 3 acres of watermelons. We also purchased a maize peeler and hammermill to help us make flour for our EFT families. The addition of an oil press will also help us make cooking oil from the sunflowers. All of these tools will help us produce extra flour and oil to sell. I am pleased to report that the crops are in excellent condition, and we look forward to a bountiful harvest!
These and other farming projects help us becoming sustainable going forward. In addition, the profit from agricultural projects will allow us to build more homes, care for more orphans and provide for the surrounding community.
We have several projects prayerfully planned for 2025. An additional 60 acres of land need the roots removed for crop use. We would like to build a house for the farm manager with an equipment storage shed. Now that the diary barn is ready, we will be purchasing ten cows. The price of cows has increased significantly over the last year, leaving our budget a bit short for their purchase. Any donations toward the purchase of cows would be greatly appreciated.
Our work in Tanzania over the last 7 years has been one of faithful perseverance and gradual development. With the start of these and other sustainable agricultural initiatives, Eternal Families, Tanzania is now equipped with renewable resources to care for their children, welcome more, and provide a source of income.
We are excited to announce at the end of 2024, Eternal Families,Tanzania was officially launched as an independent ministry!
