Hi! I’m Lydia Schubarth, one of the interns for Remember the Children’s summer program. This is currently my third time in Romania, and I’ve had the privilege of working with RTC each time. As an intern with RTC during this trip, I’ve got to see and understand more of the behind-the-scenes things that go on in the organization.
So far this trip, I’ve been in Romania almost 3 weeks and got to help out with the team from Azusa Pacific University. It’s been such a blast getting to know each of the members of the team and seeing how they all have their own gifts and strengths that they are able to use on the mission field. The kids at all of our locations love being loved on, whether that’s through hugs, singing, or just being present and spending time with them, and the APU team has done a great job of that!
Toward the end of their trip, we took a small trip to Budapest, and Andy Baker helped us explore another culture and the beautiful landmarks that are there.
Today, May 25th, signifies not only the end of the trip for the APU team, but also one month until I go back to America. Even though I’m sad that I’m only one month away from this summer’s Romania trip being over, I’m beyond excited for the team from William Jessup University to get here soon, and for all of the ministry that I’ll get to do alongside my co-intern, Savanna. God has already done so much this summer, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for the rest of the summer!
