We are proud to see our RTC leaders sharing the wisdom they gain with their local communities. Earlier this year, Yohana, our Communications Coordinator in Tanzania, was supported by RTC to attend a conference in Côte D'Ivoire where he learned about media and communications in ministry. Yohana shared that he met new friends, organizations, and ministries and learned many ministry lessons, such as leaving the office door open and engaging more with the community.
"Traveling outside Tanzania and East Africa to attend a conference was a significant milestone for me. Since 2021, it had been my desire to attend this conference, which also includes training. With RTC's support, I was able to attend. I learned how to reach unreached people, particularly the Muslim community, through online media and evangelism, utilizing our communication resources more effectively to spread Christ's message, and also learn how to communicate effectively."
Yohana updated us this week about a special opportunity he had to teach what he has learned;
"I personally want to express my gratitude for the Leadership Development Program by Remember the Children. Through this program, I've been able to attend various seminars and workshops, giving me broader knowledge and providing me with an opportunity to teach others on mission-related topics.
On Friday and Saturday I had the opportunity to teach church leaders, evangelists, and ordinary people in Tabora on how to do mission work at the workplace. We covered using sports as a method of mission, the intersection of work and calling, and personal development planning (PDP), as well as setting achievable goals and sustainable planning in mission activities. God has indeed been gracious. Some of the participants gave feedback as we concluded the seminar. They expressed how blessed they were, saying their expectations were exceeded in what they received and in the insights shared on setting achievable goals, the importance of budgeting, and collaboration in mission work."
It is wonderful to see the initiative Yohana has taken to use the resources he has been given!
