The Power of Encouragement

By Natalie Barentson

In a world filled with bad news, it’s nice to read something positive for a change.  This week, I had the pleasure to read and organize the messages that were sent to our house parents.  They were messages of hope, joy, and love.  They spoke of the support that this community has for our staff overseas.  They showed me not only how loved our house parents are, but how amazing the Remember the Children community is.

I won’t lie, I think the House Parent Encouragement was one of my favorite projects I’ve worked on while being on staff for RTC.  I was blown away to see how many people sent things in & how kind each encouragement was.  I loved reading positive message after positive message.  They weren’t even for me, but they affected me deeply and brought such joy to my week!  Most of all, I loved seeing how passionate and loving this community is.  It’s truly a blessing to work with you all to further God’s kingdom in Romania and Tanzania.

Next week, we will send the messages to the House Parents and they will read the loving words you sent them.  I can’t wait for them to read the notes and be encouraged!

For those who sent in messages, thank you so much for taking a few minutes to write to the parents.  Your words mean more than you know.

For those who may not have sent something in, thank you for simply being here.  Being on this email list shows your love and dedication for this ministry and we are so thankful for you!

Have a wonderful week!
