Ukraine UPDATE: A Van for Ministry

By Natalie Barentson

Ministry is never without hiccups! One of the main ways Remember the Children has been serving Ukrainian refugees is by distributing meals at the border. As families pass through, they are greeted with a sack lunch that was prepared by our team. Many of these families have been without food for several days as they make the journey to safety.

However, there was an outbreak of food poisoning in the region where we are preparing the meals (not from us). Therefore, the local government made it required that all prepared food must be refrigerated to ensure food safety. Therefore, we were required to acquire a refrigerated van to transport the meals to families.

Thanks to your generous support, the van has been purchased! It’s difficult for us to spend ministry funds on vehicles, however, we needed to follow the law. Now, the food that’s distributed will be cold, safe, and ready to be handed out.

Thank you so much for giving to this need! You can check out pictures of the van below.

As always, thank you so much for your generous support and prayers for Remember the Children’s refugee relief efforts. We are continuing to serve the people that come into our care, and expect to be for at least the next 3 months. We appreciate your prayers and continued financial support!
