“Christ on the Tree” by Jerry Taylor
“Christ on the Tree” by Jerry Taylor
“This sign is at the entrance of the driveway to the Caminul Felix orphan community and Noble Guest House. It is also a sign letting travelers know that on this road, leading to a town or city, there is a Greek Orthodox Church. It was winter. The colorful sign, with the bare tree background, made an excellent image. I kept the colors in the sign and desaturated all the background. I know that Christ is no longer on the cross, but it is a reminder that He suffered and died for my hope of eternal life.”
Jerry Taylor and his wife Sylvia have participated in many trips with Remember the Children. Over the years, Jerry’s skill of photography has been a gift as he observed and captured moments that added a depth of meaning and understanding. We are thankful for the generous donation of 12 of Jerry’s pieces to raise funds for orphan care and church planting in Romania and Tanzania. 11 of the 12 are framed between sheets of glass with open edging and attached wire. The dimensions for all pieces are 17’’ by 23’’ with the mat and frame.
Jerry is a retired Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and a former educator and administrator in both public and private schools. He also taught Photography in Harford Community College's Continuing Education Program.
He currently shoots with a Nikon D850 and assorted Nikon lenses; he also uses the Nikon Coolpix P1000 super zoom.
