Update From Miyega

By Yohana Dioniz

Miyega was once a small village that had never known the presence of a church, but in 2022 everything began to change. The Gospel reached this remote place through a partnership with Remember the Children (RTC) and Pastor George, who serves as a house dad at Eternal Families Tanzania and church planter in Tabora. Through your generous donation, a church was built, complete with a roof, seating, and musical instruments.

You might recall from the Sunday Stories on June 12, 2023, when we first shared about this church. Back then, it was under the care of Pastor Steven, who has recently been appointed as the Assistant Pastor at Mabama Church. Miyega Church is now shepherded by Pastor Nuhu a very charming Kingdom Man.

Our team recently revisited Miyega Church, accompanied by Brother Mark Yeazel, who currently represents Remember the Children in Tanzania. I was overjoyed to find that the brethren here continue to walk in love and joy, and they have grown in their faith in Christ Jesus. Mark delivered a powerful message on how to disciple others for Christ, encouraging the congregation to bring more people to Jesus.

Though the journey to reach this village is often challenging, the grace of God covered us, allowing us to arrive and return safely to Tabora.

Prayer Requests for Miyega Church:

1. Pray for Pastor Nuhu: As the current lead pastor, pray that God grants him the grace to shepherd his flock faithfully. Pray also for the love of Christ to abound among the believers, that they may continue to stand firm in the Word and be effective witnesses, bringing others to Christ.

2. Pray for the Building: The next step is to plaster the church exterior. Pray that God opens doors for financial provision through Pastor George so that this work can be completed before the rainy season begins.

3. Pray for Expansion: The church has plans to purchase a neighboring plot of land to expand its space for additional church activities. Pray for God's favor and provision in this endeavor.

4. Pray for Evangelism Efforts: The church is planning an open-air meeting and door-to-door evangelism before the year ends. Pray for God's guidance and that many souls will be brought to Jesus through these efforts.
