One of the best ways to invest in future leaders is a Remember the Children Child Sponsorship. This opportunity allows you to connect with a kid in Romania and Tanzania and say, “I believe in you and want to see you thrive!” But how does child sponsorship work? How does it actually benefit the child? Let’s take a look at what child sponsorship is all about.
Many of the children we serve in Romania are 'poverty orphans'.
The children in our programs are typically referred to us through government agencies that care for children in need. In Romania, most of the kids in our care are ‘poverty orphans’, meaning their parents are typically alive but cannot support them due to poverty or dangerous home environments. In Tanzania, most of the kids we take care of are HIV orphans, meaning one or more parents have died because of HIV/AIDS. We receive the children from the agencies and they are part of our homes until they are ready to move out as adults. Our house parents are committed to being life-long parents to these children.
As a sponsor, you are a committed part of a child's life.
As a sponsor, you get to choose the child you support on our website or at a sponsorship event. You become a committed part of their life and their support system. You are a member of a 10-sponsor team that cares for your child’s monthly needs, with each person providing $35 per month. This gift is stewarded by Remember the Children, which is accredited by the ECFA for best financial practices.
The children in our care receive access to school church, and more.
Because of your support, each child receives:

Clothing

Family and Parents that Love and Support Them

We are now seeing the children become adults and begin lives of their own.
In fact, we are now seeing the first of our sponsored children become adults and begin their new lives! This past year, Ana from Romania got married and began a life on her own! It’s truly a blessing to see her thrive after her time in our program.
