I think many of us can agree that 2020 was a crazy year. People around the world felt the impact of the pandemic. Remember the Children was not exempt--our ministry changed and adapted in ways we never have before. While 2020 was a difficult year, we know that it wasn't all darkness. God's light shone in beautiful ways in Romania, Tanzania, and the USA.
We saw our partners serve their communities in new ways. Homes were still built in Tanzania. Children were baptized in Romania. Our staff connected with donors online. There were countless things that happened!
Therefore, we want to look back at the good things that occurred in our ministry last year. Here are just a few of RTC's highlights of 2020 that were made possible by YOU!
Built a Home for the Stoica's
In January, RTC built a home for the Stoica family, a devoted member of our partner church in Tetchea. We were blessed to give them a home they truly needed.
Built 5 Homes in Tanzania
Through your generous partnership, we built 5 homes in Tanzania! The children will move into the homes early this year.
Marriage Conference in Tanzania
In February, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists Jerry and Sylvia Taylor hosted a marriage conference. It was a huge blessing to the couples of Tabora, Tanzania.
Raised Money to Support Churches in Romania
In May, our generous partners raised money to support churches and pastors in Romania. The COVID shut down drastically impacted the financial health of our partners and we were happy to help them stay afloat.
Our Staff Helped with Homeschooling
When schools shutdown, our staff stepped up to the plate! Dionis, one of the house parents in Tanzania and a former teacher, led the homeschooling of the kids in our ministry.
Baptisms in Romania
In June, Daniel Bagosi held baptisms for the gypsy village of Santandrei in Romania. It was a blessing to see children that have grown up in our ministry declare their faith!
Our Staff Cared for Gypsy Villages
All throughout this year, Daniel Bagosi brought supplies and food to struggling gypsy villages in Romania.
COVID Didn't Stop Christmas
Even though we couldn't physically be in Romania and Tanzania for Christmas, our local staff still executed Christmas Hope! Your generous donations provided necessities and gifts for kids this holiday season. Back in the States, supporters watched the gifts being distributed on Facebook live.
