Daniel and Ionel

Daniel and Ionel

This past week, I received a few pictures from Daniel Bagosi, our partner who ministers to the community of Santandrei, Romania. The first photo was him with my dear friend Ionel Bodog, who works for Caminul Felix, a children’s home village with which we have a close relationship. In fact, through the years, Caminul Felix has housed our mission teams and shared their bus with us to transport our teams.  It has been a relationship we have valued since the beginning of our ministry.

During the last week, Caminul Felix received an abundance of food donations. Ionel placed a phone call to Daniel and asked if the extra could be used in Santandrei. During this pandemic, the answer was yes, and Daniel was on his way to collect everything and to get it distributed.

My prayers over the last several weeks have been focused on God providing for those who are in need. As I watch the news in our own country and see the loss of jobs, the reduction or lack of unemployment benefits, and the possibility of home loss for so many, my challenge to pray has become even more urgent to me.

The story of Ionel and Daniel was just a little glimmer of hope for me this week, that God does hear my prayers, even in my doubt and anxiety. I am grateful for the hearts of my colleagues who look out for each other. I am grateful that my friends in Santandrei received a blessing. I am sure it was one for which they prayed. As I looked at these photos and smiled, it also reminded me to continue to be generous as I am able. Oh, and to NOT stop praying.
